new Alerting center (Beta)
We are excited to announce the Alerting center, a beta feature designed to enhance site reliability by centralizing alert management. It allows users to efficiently respond to production issues through a heat-mapped timeline of past and active alerts linked to SLOs.
Key features
- Centralized alert management: Access all alerts from one place, eliminating the need to navigate through individual SLOs.
- Heatmap visualization: Alerts are categorized into 60 buckets based on intensity, helping to prioritize responses to high-alert areas.
- Efficient troubleshooting: Quickly identify patterns in alerts to understand root causes and improve incident response.
- Flexible filtering: Group and filter alerts by status and resource, enabling targeted monitoring based on operational needs.
Access To access the Alerting center, go to the Alerts section in the main navigation panel.
Limitations
- Displays a maximum of 20,000 recent alerts.
- Alerts sorted by name rather than display name.
- Severity filters do not persist when navigating from heatmap to SLO details.
