Silencing alerts on the Nobl9 Web

You can silence and resume alerts attached to your existing SLOs on the Nobl9 Web.

Silence alerts

Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Service level objectives in the main navigation panel.

  2. Select the required SLO. Click it to open details.

  3. Click (more options). Select Silence alerts:

    The alert silence popup opens.

  4. Choose the alert policy for which you want to silence your alerts.

  5. Choose the required silence period under the Silence for section.

  6. Click Silence to apply changes.

This way, you can do the following:

  • Silence several alerts at a time
  • Check currently silenced alerts
  • Resume all silenced alerts
Schedule silence

To schedule alert silence, set it for a future date using the Custom range option.

Manage and resume alerts

To resume an alert, open the alert silence popup. The following options are available:

  • Resume alerts one-by-one
  • Result all alerts at once

Alternatively, click Resume now on the required alert tile in the Alert policies block:

The alert silence popup and tiles in the Alert policies block also status messages for triggered and resolved alerts. The message for resolved alerts is displayed for an hour after alert resolution.

Silence alerts and RBAC

Users with the Organization admin and Organization responder roles or users with Project owner or editor, or Project responder roles assigned to a project where SLO belongs can add or remove silence on an alert.
